MEMORIES OF MARSHA

Family and Friends Sharing Their Tributes.

Vita Taylor Tribute

Marsha – My Favorite Sister (God gave me Marsha and that has been one of His greatest gifts to me.)

She has always had a gusto for life and living it to its fullest. Growing up with her always encouraged me to get the most out of life, whether that be running from her as she tried to show me her newly discovered amphibian - or watching her while she tamed our bucking cantankerous pony Prince while I read my book in a chair. She urged me to step outside of my comfort zone and I have been the better for it.

She is a natural-born leader! We have walked beaches together; taken on grand endeavors to be the best we can be – all with her leading the way. She has also been a great negotiator! When as young girls, I asked her to come play “school” with me, she countered that she would sing the alphabet song if I would come outside and swing with her. Yes, her career would be in Sales!

After years of living thousands of miles away from each other as adults, we finally lived close together – within walking distance of each other in beautiful San Clemente, California. When she came to visit, we walked on the beach together and there was nothing like it. It was perfection! I said something about someday we would be there in our 80s doing things that we loved together. She corrected me and reminded me, “These are the ‘Good Old Days’, Vita.” She was right and I have tried to apply that to the rest of my life.

Marsha knows me to my core and loves me all the same and I love her more than I could ever express!

Robert York Tribute

Words seem to fail me when I reflect upon my mother's life. I am fortunate to be her son and it is an honor to call her my mom. I feel like it would take a lifetime to write all of the beautiful memories we have shared. Here are a few of my favorites. I hope they can convey how wonderful of a mother she was. Moms first love was raising her only son and keeping me safe, warm, and loved. She acquired a wealth of knowledge in real estate that turned into her lifelong career and passion. Mom and I spent a lot of our time researching and fixing homes in Orange, Co. Calif.  As we grew up almost together. Her family and friends were always important to her as she had so many. She loved to travel and spent time all over the world. Her pets where numerous and Duncan and Murphy were a mainstay in all of our lives (Scotie Dogs) for many years. She was very proud of her sponsoring of others that suffer from alcoholism, and dedicated a great deal of her time to Alcoholics Anonymous. I was so very lucky to have her as a mother. She was a perfect fit for me and all of my needs. She was my rock, and will always be. If only in spirit. I Love you Mom. See you in heaven and please keep a watchful eye over me when you have the time. Love always your Son.

Think of yourself and the people that you know that know Marsha. We all come from different walks of life. The one thing we have in common is that we all care about her. I am grateful to each of you for recognizing my mother as the wonderful woman she was. Thank you for taking the time to be here today. Marsha requests that when you want to take a little time to think of her, simply make a finger picture box movie of passing clouds, because that is where she is looking over us all. Mom, Peace be with you, God bless, and thank you from the very bottom of my heart for raising me and letting me call you MOM!
